We’re Halcyon and Lauren and we’re two sisters with a passion for literature and acquiring knowledge. Lauren is an accomplished author and Halcyon is a licensed clinician. We both grew up in the same home but our taste in books couldn’t be any more different. What we do have in common is a love for deep and meaningful conversations and a disdain for wasted time. When reading books, we each have a limit as to how much of a bad story we can tolerate and page 50 is the limit. That’s why we’ve created a podcast where we discuss books where getting past page 50 wasn’t a struggle for either one of us. On this podcast we will talk about books that grabbed us from the beginning and that we couldn’t put down but there is a catch: all of the authors that we feature will be approaching the golden age of 50. We truly believe that authors who hit their stride in mid-life don’t get enough shine and we’re here to give them their flowers. So please, join us on this new adventure as we read, converse with authors, and celebrate the richness of life through all things books.
